Gabriel Pasquier
Bow Maker
Gabriel Pasquier commenced his apprenticeship in 2007 at the School of Lutherie “Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume” in Mirecourt, France. During this three-year period, he acquired the skills to craft violins, violas, and cellos.
Following his graduation, he took on the role of assistant to Sylvain Bigot in Lyon. Over the course of six years, he specialized in the restoration of bows from various old French makers, and he began crafting new bows while also gaining expertise in bow appraisal.
In 2016, he left Lyon and established his independent business in Caromb, located in Provence. There, he primarily focuses on creating new bows inspired by 19th-century makers, in addition to conducting bow restorations.
