Marilyn Wallin has made over 200 instruments throughout her 35-year career. These violins, violas and cellos are played in major orchestras and conservatories from coast to coast.
Recently returning to her hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska she owns and operates Capital City Strings, Inc., a full service violin shop.
Wallin is busy as an educator and continues to add to her own knowledge. She trained 60 full time apprentices while at North Bennet Street School in Boston and regularly attends Oberlin Violinmakers Workshop.
She has served the trade as President of the Violin Society of America, and is again on the Board of Directors. She also served as Governor and Secretary for the American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers.
